🎉 I Published a Harp Method Book! Introducing Happy Harpist《快乐竖琴家》

I’m so excited to finally share this with you — Happy Harpist《快乐竖琴家》, a harp method book I co-wrote has just been published in China!

This book has been a labor of love, written together with my dear friend and harp educator Xiao Xingni (肖幸妮). We started planning it all the way back in 2019, with one big goal in mind: to create a fun, accessible, and well-structured harp method for beginners — especially young learners.

As a composer and teacher, I’ve always believed that music education should feel joyful and meaningful from the very beginning. In this book, we carefully designed each lesson to be playful yet intentional, combining foundational technique with music theory, rhythm games, and even composition prompts to help students explore their own creativity.

What’s Inside?

• A step-by-step progression for complete beginners (yes, even 4-year-olds!)

• Support for both lever harps (23 strings) and pedal harps (47 strings)

• Colorful visuals, ear-training games, and activities that make theory fun

• A special section called “Let’s Compose!” — where students are encouraged to write their own short pieces as they learn
